Laminam quartz sinter is a material that does not contain organic materials. Thanks to this, it is resistant to fire and high temperature in domestic conditions. Its surface heat resistance allows it to be placed on a worktop
hot pan or utensils.
• Food can be left in direct contact with the Laminam worktop. Its surface is hygienic and resistant to the growth of fungi and mold. Laminam quartz sintered countertops are food safe as they do not release
harmful elements in the solution. Pathogens
such as bacteria or fungi do not grow on them
surface.
• Laminam surfaces are easy and quick to cleanas they are highly resistant to stains *, cleaning agents and detergents *.
• Laminam has excellent resistance to scratching and deep abrasion* even in direct contact with metal tools such as cutlery and kitchen knives.
• Laminam boards, even in external conditions, do not change their appearance with time, they are perfect
resistance to UV radiation and weather conditions. They are dimensionally stable. * these properties are not guaranteed with
polished quartz sinter which is more sensitive than other Laminam surfaces. This finish is achieved thanks to the intricate
machining. It is not recommended to make sinks and bathtubs from this product.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning the entire surface of the countertop, it is recommended to test a small area of fabric with the cleaning product of your choice. It should be remembered that stain removal is much easier when it is done immediately after the stain has formed. Any marks or stains on the countertop are usually caused by improper and superficial cleaning. Please follow
with information on technical data sheets and labels of used products.
DAILY CLEANING
For everyday cleaning of Laminam plates, use warm water and possibly mild detergents (e.g. soap or detergents intended for cleaning worktops). Cleaning should be done with a cloth or a soft sponge. Rinse with plenty of water, then dry with a soft cloth or kitchen paper. To prevent the formation of a transparent coating, use is not recommended
wax-containing products. Do not use strong detergents or abrasive cloths.
CLEANING DIFFICULT STAINS
LAMINAM with a decorative texture (e.g. matt or bocciardato) and Soft Touch. In order to remove Laminam from the surface, especially
of stubborn dirt, it is recommended to pre-clean with warm water and a mild detergent. If this is not enough, use gradually stronger ones
cleaning techniques, using specific products adapted to the nature of the soiling, for example:
- Non-aggressive, pH-neutral detergents
- Slightly abrasive detergents
- Acid detergents (for example descaling) or basic detergents (for example bleach)
- Solvent based detergents (for example acetone).
After applying the above measures, the surface of the countertop should be rinsed with water and dried. To remove residues of dried materials
such as chewing gum, use a wooden or plastic scraper, and then clean the surface with a mild detergent, using a soft sponge or cloth. If the worktop is stained with paints or felt-tip pens, clean the surface immediately with
special detergents such as: paint thinner, trichlorethylene, turpentine or other solvent based detergents. Finally, rinse the countertop with plenty of water and wipe it dry. Any permanent traces of graphite or other traces of metal by metal objects can be removed with acids used to remove limescale or commercially available hydrochloric acid. To do this, leave the acid on the metal trace for 10 minutes, then rinse the cleaned area several times with plenty of water and dry it. If necessary, use a slightly abrasive sponge, first checking its operation on a small part of the material.
Polished LAMINAM plates
Some types of stains can leave visible marks on the surface if not removed immediately. Instructions for use of sintered quartz countertops This is typical for this type of finish. In the event of spills of liquids such as coffee, red wine, tea, etc., dry the surface immediately with an absorbent cloth without spreading the stain over a larger area. If the stain remains on the surface for a long time, it will be difficult to remove completely. Bleach can only be used to remove stubborn stains. When using this agent, soak a soft cloth in the bleach and wipe the surface. Most stains will disappear after 2-3 minutes wiping. Alternatively, you can try direct contact of the bleach with the stained surface. Detergent should be left for no more than 10 minutes.
Then rinse thoroughly - always and in any case - with plenty of water and then dry the surface with a cloth. If necessary, it is recommended to repeat the activity several times. The bleach should not be in contact with the worktop for an extended period of time. Acidic products (such as descaling), acetone and solvents can also be used. Under no circumstances should you use abrasive sponges or materials such as detergents containing abrasive particles. Do not wash with brushes, metal scrapers or steel tools. Do not use detergents with a strong alkaline pH (above 11) for cleaning. In order to protect the countertops against stains, we recommend protecting them with impregnants, eg FILA MP 90. The impregnation should be repeated according to the recommendations of the manufacturer of the given agent.
LAMINAM - FILO SERIES
The Filo series is a finish specially designed for cladding. The material is obtained by applying metal particles to the surface of the plates, which makes the product sensitive to acids and acid-containing products, as well as to scratches and abrasion. Such possible changes
surface should be treated as distinguishing features of this material. Therefore, do not use acids or acid-containing products such as descaling agents to clean the Filo series products. Under no circumstances should you use abrasive sponges or materials,
such as detergents with abrasive particles, metal cloths or steel tools. Can be used to remove stubborn dirt
alcohol, basic detergents, bleaches. After cleaning, rinse the countertop with plenty of water. The surface should be cleaned with a soft sponge moistened with water and detergent, then rinsed and dried with a cloth.
• Make sure the base of the appliance is level when installing the worktop and make sure the surface is perfectly flat.
• Make sure that a bracket is installed under the wash basin, consisting of a fixing bar fixed on the structure of the device.
• Do not use the wrong products.
• Do not sit or stand on the counter.
• The Laminam surface is very durable, but do not use the table top for mashed meat. Use a cutting board for this. Mash the meat away from any holes in the countertop (e.g. sink hole), edges or corners.
• It is not recommended to cut food directly on the worktop as it may blunt tools quickly. In addition, abrasive and dull knives can leave metallic marks on the table top. These marks must be removed with acids. If the worktop is made of polished Laminam, always use a cutting board.
• Avoid being hit by tools falling from a height or other heavy objects falling on the worktop or the edge of the
tabletop day. Heavy objects can damage the worktop surface.
• Avoid contact with adhesives and silicones as it may not always be possible to remove residues once they have cured.
• Avoid dragging hard objects such as dishes, pots and knives directly over the worktop.
• Use a cutting board when cutting, and place items on mats and coasters to avoid dragging directly across the worktop.
• Especially on polished surfaces, under no circumstances should you use abrasive sponges or materials such as detergents containing abrasive particles.
